Artist Statement

My work explores connection in moments where words fall short. I’m drawn to art as a visual language and how it can be used to build understanding within both individuals and communities. Just as people are varied and multifaceted, I approach my work through a range of mediums, using each to express different aspects of identity, emotion, and experience. I often work through experimentation and reflection, allowing process and material to guide the outcome rather than fixating on the result. This approach embraces both control and unpredictability, creating space for discovery, growth, and reinterpretation. By engaging in my work in this capacity, I can better understand my own responses while leaving room for others to form their own connections.

Themes within my work range from whimsical curiosity to philosophical questions and explore elements of fantasy, nature, hidden beauty, or simplified forms that encourage personal reflection.  These visual choices create an environment that feels both imaginative and accessible, inviting viewers to engage with the work intuitively. By creating space for exploration and authenticity, I aim to leave room for viewers to find themselves within the work in whatever way feels meaningful for them. At its core, my work is about connection and the idea that understanding doesn’t always need words.
